Summary of Pop Culture Studies
After learning these sites, I discover more information about culture which has culture politics, cultural criticism and transformation and pop culture in Arab world.
First, I learned that culture politics are important and deeply related to our daily life. According to the culturalpolitics. Next, I learned that I can explore culture politics in five parts, which are popular culture, Digital Cultural, social movements and culture, environmental justice cultural studies and cultural theory. Culture politics like popular culture, mess media, folk culture and arts are influence our everyday life in many places, such as societies, economics and political values and meanings.
Second, I learned cultural criticism and transformation from bell hooks’ video. I learned that cultural has the power in everyday life, and wherever the pedagogy is, where the learning is. It has so many forms and issues, such as film, music, fashion, class, gender and race and so on. Also, critical thing is hard but important in transformation.
Eventually, I learned that the culture in Arab is much different from us by watching Sheren El Feki’s TED talk video. According to this, I can discover that our world is pretty and strands of different cultures.
Overall, culture is all around our life, we experience it even we do not realize. Furthermore, culture is different basic in many factors. I will keep learning more about culture.
