Music act an important role in culture and the whole world.
Beyoncé
Does
anyone know Beyoncé before? Everyone in my group know her from social media. In
the modern world, social media is all around us, and it suggests things and
push on news according to our interests and cookies histories.
Same
as my group mates, I heard about Beyoncé from social media before but did not listen
to her music. When I got the group project about her, I searched her online and
listen to her music, Halo. It is very moving
and great. Beyoncé is one of the famous singers in the world. She has many
rewards and honors in music. However, her music style is not my favorite music
type. Also, her music is not my group mates’ music style. Each of my group mates listens to different types of music.
Music types
Nowadays, there are many different types of
music in the world. Everyone likes different music because of different
country, different culture and different interest. For instance, my friend Yongyi
loves K-pop. She knew K-pop from weibo and listened to some songs. Then, she found
her favorite singer who is good at K-pop. Another group mate, Leila, she likes
to listen to Jazz.
For myself, my favorite music type is popular
music, especially East Asian popular music. In my opinion, popular music is fantastic
and changing. My favorite song is “wonderful you”, it’s from a Hongkong singer.
The singer is not as famous as Beyoncé, but her music touched me a lot, and her
vowel is clear and effective. Moreover, I’d like to listen to movie music. I like
to watch movies, so I like their music which makes me feel so meaningful and
moved.
Overall, there are so many types of music, and people all have individual
interested music. Music is an art
form and cultural activity whose medium is sound. Also, music is a bridge
of soul.
